My name is Diana Scianimanico and I am a 25 year old stay at home mom of two precious daughters. My oldest is five, and my youngest is two, and they are the biggest blessings God could ever give me. They are best friends, and they teach me so much about life, patience, and growth. My husband and I have been married 3 years and I could not ask for a better spouse. He is the rock of our family, and my best friend. I have been crafting for less than a year now. I guess I needed to find myself a little hobby once I quit working, and one day I decided to borrow my grandmother’s sewing machine. I guess the skill was in my blood, because a couple weeks later, I was self-taught and making tons of things for my girls and for around the house. It was later that I was led to open my own Etsy shop. I have not been very successful in the online selling, but I know once my name is exposed, the business will pick up. Sewing is really a hobby of mine anyways, and I do it just for fun! My specialty is the crayon roll. My girls were in desperate need for one of these, or should I say my purse and all of it’s contents were in need of one! I began making aprons after I developed an obession with buying them, and of course the sock monkeys were my children’s ideas. The first sock monkey I made has been fully loved on and has just reccently went in to surgery from excessive play! I also create children’s clothing from custom skirts, tailored pajama pants, and handmade graphic tees. My girls love all the fun stuff that they get when mommy has a creative burst of energy! I look very forward to being a part of this year’s Homespun Chic Marketplace, and it will officially be my first craft show! So please, stop on by, take a look around, and introduce yourself.

What is one of your favorite quotes, song lyrics or Bible verses? 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.”

What’s your favorite thing about summer in Florida? Taking my girls to the beach! We love to take the 45 minute drive over to Melbourne and just waste the day away in the sun, sand and salt! I can’t think of a better way to spend time with my children.

What’s the last great movie you saw? Book you read? The movie Limitless starring Bradley Cooper. I can’t explain too much about it, but all I can tell you is it’s a must see! It’s probably my favorite movie of all time.

What’s the #1 played song on your iPod? Right now I am really into The Black Keys, Crash Kings, and my old-time favorite, Deftones. It really depends on my mood what I listen too. I have a different genre for every activity that I do on a daily basis. Heavy rock for long distance driving, smooth indie for cleaning the house, upbeat rock for running, and I confess I like to listen to European Indie/Folk when I need some chill time. I don’t think there is a specific song that is my number one, I like variety!
